Inviting

Come, when the pale moon like a petal
Floats in the pearly dusk of spring,

Come with outstretched arms to take me,
Come with lips pursed up to cling.

Come, for life is a frail moth flying
Caught in the web of the years that pass,

And soon we two, so warm and eager,
Will be as the gray stones in the grass.

Sara Teasdale

From afar, our eyes lock
as we bare into the others’ soul.

We are nearing closeness now,
the moments before we touch.

The anticipation is exhilarating,
the desire, revealed.

I’m willing you to come to me,
you know the reasons why.

Robin Main

As I wake by your side,
My feelings for you I cannot hide,
I touch your face in the morning light,
Being with you just feels so right

You make me feel like I'm a king,
Like being inside an awesome dream,
Although this is real, that I know,
As the love that surrounds us continues to grow

I think of what the future holds...
Us together growing old,
And as I lay, with you my dear,
I'm just so glad you're mine, you're here.
